Oktoberfest

An Oktoberfest is planned for September 26, 27, 28, 2008 in New Leipzig, North Dakota. The theme is Oktoberfest: Celebrating German Heritage. Reuben and Ruth Pastian have been choosen as the parade marshals.

Here’s a brief rundown of what is planned.

Friday night: Ceremonial Keg Tapping, Dinner - Baptist Church/Solid Rock Youth Group Arm Wrestling Contest and Music by Rift

Saturday: Dollars for Scholars Breakfast, 5k Fun Run/Walk, Flea Market, Kiddie and Grand Parade, Mainstreet Muscle and/or Antique Car Show, German Food Booths, Salsa Tasting Contest, Soap Box Derby, Ice Cream Parlor, Street Games-kids games, Pie eating, Scarecrow dressing, Turtle Races, Toy Tractor Pull, Mission Impossible game for youths, Music by Thunder Road.
